Western Mahua 西部马华 - Chinese food at Paya Lebar Quarter

Hi friends! Here's another restaurant at PLQ to check out. Western Mahua, or 西部马华, is a Western Chinese restaurant that offers delicious hand pulled noodles and dishes from Xinjiang.

Here's a look at the menu.

Stir Fried Noodle with Beef $12.80

The star of the dish is definitely the noodles! Nice chewy texture. I LOVE fresh noodles! The taste however can afford to be stronger. It was not spicy at all. Beef slices were average. Portion is huge, so we shared one plate.

Saw the noodle chef hand pulling noodles. No dancing like HDL hahaha.

Alijiang Lamb Skewers -$3.50 each, but there was a Buy 2 get 1 free promo!

In night markets in Taiwan, you may pass by the lamb skewer stall. The rich smell of 羊肉串 is very tantalising. I haven't eaten lamb skewers in the longest time, so we got these. I was looking for something with a strong and spicy taste, but these lamb skewers, while tender, were milder in flavour. Oh well!

Overall the meal was alright, and I enjoyed the fresh noodles the most. Come here to try something new!
