Homemade Chicken Meatballs


Hi friends!

After my lil spin with homemade Chicken Nuggets, I decided to try this recipe!

The recipe is based on this YouTube video.

Difficulty: Easy
Prep time: 20 minutes, because I needed to chop and mince my chicken meat, less if you already have minced meat at hand :-)
Cooking time: about 20 minutes

Recipe for Chicken Meatballs (12pcs)
  • Minced chicken (I minced one chicken thigh)
  • Olive oil
  • Chilli flakes (lots if you like it spicy like me!)
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • Breadcrumbs (I used Panko again)
  • Cheese (I used shredded Cheddar cheese)
  • Chopped carrots
  • 1 egg, whisked
Mix everything in a bowl! I added the egg last. Shape and put into air fryer at 200c for about 18 minutes, or preheated oven at 200c for about 18-20 minutes.

Golden product! Paired it with some pasta and cream sauce! 

Love these meatballs! 

Here's my second batch from the oven. Tripled the recipe, but only used 2 eggs instead of 3 because it felt wasteful. Turned out fine. The oven baked meatballs are juicier and less dry than the air fryer ones! But the air fryer one is definitely more convenient.

I might add some mushrooms and onions next time.
