Rookery (Capital Tower)

Hey guys!

Had the chance to visit Rookery at Capital Tower for lunch recently, so I'm going to do a post on it!

They have two outlets, one at Tanjong Pagar (Capital Tower) and another at Hong Leong Building which is closer to Raffles Place MRT.

Photographs today are by my friend Si Min :)

This is the Crabmeat Tagliatelle with tomato cream sauce. Generous portion, very satisfying and filling. Personally I prefer bigger chunks of crab meat instead of shredded though! Maybe I just want to eat lobster meat...haha.
😂

$24
I chose the Mizo Glazed Salmon, which came with zucchini noodles!

$28
On the menu this dish is written as Norwegian trout, but we were informed that they only had salmon for the day. Nevertheless the salmon was delicious, smooth and buttery. Enjoyed it!

The funky thing about this dish is definitely the Zucchini noodles, otherwise known as Zoodles! People use this to replace actual carb pastas. I've seen it a lot on fitness blogs and accounts and have thought about making some, but of course I'm too lazy to actually do so. 😂

Well, the ones at Rookery just taste like cold strips of zucchini with pesto mayo cream sauce on it. Lol. But I guess Zoodles are really a thing if you want to replace your carbs, cuz my friend who ate the pasta felt way more full than I was. A fun texture test for the curious!

You can check out the menu here.

Total bill came up to $30 with the help of the Burpple Beyond app, which was a cool $15 for each of us. Worth it!~

Staff here is very amiable and helpful too!

I also noticed that the Rookery had a stage set up for live performances, and I wonder what dinner nights here will be like! Ambience, food and service was great, which is everything a diner wants.

Verdict: 8.5/10

Warning: this place fills up fast during the lunch hour. In a blink of an eye the tables were all full. We were smart though, we made a Chope reservation.

Till next time!
Skye
