Menya Kokoro: Mad Delicious Mazesoba

Hey guys!

I was in the Tanjong Pagar area and we were still hungry after our first round of dinner (too lacklustre to mention), so we popped into 100 AM in search of more food.

Decided to try out Menya Kokoro! I think they have another outlet at Suntec.

Boy do they have some crazy spicy flavours like Mala, just for Singapore. We went for the promos that were available for their 1st year anniversary!

This is the Tokyo Mega mazesoba. It was soooo good! Really recommend it. Staff also advised us to add their special vinegar for more oomph.

So much better than the Kajiken mazesoba we tried last time. The staff also gave us a small saucer of rice to mix in, when we were done with the springy noodles. The powdered spices are really fiery after a while. I can't imagine the mala version of this! Love that they catered to Singaporean tastes though!

This mazesoba also came with a small bowl of mushroom soup, which was incredibly earthy and clear, tasting a little bit like tea! I love it.

Also ordered a Triple Flavour Tonkotsu ramen. Soup is milder and less salty than usual ramen chains, which is a nice surprise. Enjoyed the soup but the noodles, not so much. The staff told us that this was a new item, and sought some feedback.

Really wanted to try the Emma ice cream (the one where everyone takes a photo with their cones upside down), situated in the shop, but I was way too full! Will be back for more satisfying mazesoba!
